Coaching Staff

Billy, an All-FCIAC selection played for the 1993 Norwalk High School team, helping lead them to the first undefeated season in FCIAC history. After graduation, Billy went on to play for the Bryant Bulldogs. As a four year starter and team captain, Billy was selected to the All-Conference team as a catcher and also as an outfielder.

Coach Morris is a native of Westport Connecticut where he attended Greens Farms Academy for his high school career. Upon Graduation he enrolled at Lafayette University. After one year at Lafayette Brent transferred to Muhlenburg College where he pitched for three years on the Varsity Baseball Team.

Gary attended Wilton High School and played centerfield for the Warriors. He was a three time All-FCIAC selection and a two time All-State selection. At the completion of his senior season, Gary received the tremendous honor of being named to the High School All-American team.

Steve is a graduate of Brien McMahon High School where he was the varsity baseball team’s catcher and captain. He has been part of the Connecticut Tides organization since 2006 as an assistant coach of various teams and age levels. In addition to coaching the Tides, Steve has been a baseball instructor for 5 Tool Sports, working baseball camps and clinics in Fairfield County.

Mike graduated in 1995 from Arlington High School in Poughkeepsie, NY. At Arlington, he was a first team all-league and all-section selection as an outfielder. Mike attended Division One Pace University on a baseball scholarship. While at Pace, he earned first team Mid-Continent Conference honors as a relief pitcher.

Jose is a native of Norwalk CT but played the majority of his baseball in his home land of Puerto Rico. He played his College baseball at Norwalk Community College where he was an infielder. Coach Serrano started coaching youth baseball in 1994 and has coached travel baseball teams for more than 10 years from 13U - 18U level. He has also coached local town teams throughout Fairfield County.

Nick is a graduate of Danbury High School where he was a member of the Varsity Baseball and Wrestling teams. Upon graduation Nick was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 1996 Major League Draft but decided to wait and instead enroll at Junior College baseball powerhouse, Norwalk Community College.

Matt is a graduate of Fairfield Prep where he played for four years. Upon graduation he enrolled in Gettysburg College where he caught for the Bullets. Matt has been a member of the Tides organization since 2004, playing from 2004-2010 and now a coach. In addition to coaching the Tides, Matt has been a instructor for 5 Tool Sports, working camps and clinics in Fairfield County.

Angel has 15 years of professional playing experience with the NY Mets, NY Yankees, ATL Braves and Bridgeport Bluefish organizations. He is currently the all-time Bridgeport Bluefish leader in hits, stolen bases and triples. In 1999, he was named the Baseball America All-Independent League shortstop.
